Re: Proposed `Rurban' Initiative by the GOI

We are glad to learn that Government of India has committed itself to erasing rural-urban inequities by promoting "rurban" infrastructure and amenities that emphasize a growing confluence of cities and the countryside.

By this letter, we request you to give a special focus to the underdeveloped North East Region of India. This may be by way of a Rural Development Incubator, comprising of PPP team members, which we would be pleased to be a part of, to setup and run pilot projects and self help groups related to

o Farming – small holdings and self help groups
o Primary health centers
o Primary Education,
o Water & waste management,
o Social Entrepreneurship Development
o Skills development

Our foundation, as a Sec 25 company is self funded by our family charity, and the funds are inadequate to raise the activity level to appreciable heights.
